BUTGEM Training Center;

BEGEV (Bursa Educational Development Foundation) establishment:

Founded in 1992, Bursa Educational Development Foundation (BEGEV) started its vocational training with the support of Bursa Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (BUSİAD) within an area of ​​1400 m2 which was allocated by the Chamber of Bursa Tradesmen and Artisans in 1999.
 
Then, in the coordination of Bursa Governor of the period Mr. Oğuz Kağan Köksal, with the great help of Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) Administration and Demirtaş Industrialists Association (DSD) has been allocated 38 acres of land in DOSAB. 
 
The groundbreaking ceremony of the 1st Education Block took place on 26.12.2004. BEGEV started to offer service in January 2006 in its new building of 3600 m2, which was built with the contributions of many businessmen in Bursa who have been enthusiastic about Vocational Education and within 2006, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) having witnessed the thriving works of BEGEV, took the decision to support BEGEV and following that the construction of 2 new training blocks of the Training Complex was undertaken. These constructions were completed during 2007 and the total indoor space allocated by BEGEV to Vocational Education has reached 12,000 m2. In 2009, BEGEV has left its place to the BTSO Education Foundation - BUTGEM, which was established by BTSO, and has been granted all the usufructs of BEGEV.
 
BUTGEM launched its educational training activities in 2009 in Bursa, which is one of the important industrial centers of our country.
 
The purpose is to offer Vocational Courses and Vocational Development Programmes in accordance with lifetime philosophy of education and to train the highly qualified and confident technical staff who are demanded in industry, have gained the practice of cooperation and the ability of thinking independently.
 
The total indoor area allocated by BUTGEM for Vocational Education is 12,000 m².

Reasons of existence of our Foundation:
• The deficiency of training of highly qualified staff who benefit from advanced technology and who can be utilized in our schools and workplaces and the business firms are supposed to retrain the staff they have hired,
• Contemporary conditions require the lifelong education of employees in order to be able to maintain in employment permanently, monitoring continual innovation through this way,
• The increase in the level of employability of individuals can be achieved through flexible and practical technical training that is compatible with today's technology,
• The need for theoretical and technical training, which will provide the basis for the demand of design training for branding derived from business magnates,
• The needs of adolescents to acquire and develop a profession by adapting to information era and through the use of advanced technology,
• As is due for the search for measurable productivity values ​​in every basic principle business behavior in the global world economy; to train the staff who can sustain their firm by keeping this mentality.
 
In the training complex of BUTGEM; there are not only classrooms in an ‘Amphi’( Lecture Hall, Lecture Theatre) order pertinent to numerous Vocational Trainings equipped with high end computers and where the latest software is used but application workshops where all equipment is available as well.

Vocational high school, vocational school of higher education and university graduates who aspire to improve their profession or be trained in new technology can attend to the training programs in our Education Center.
 
In addition, at least high school graduates who are not professionals though want to have a profession can participate.
 
Our trainings are constantly revised in accordance with the needs of Bursa industry and our certificates are approved by T.R. Ministry of Education.
 
An average of 2,500 trainees complete their programs successfully per annum. Trainees can be employed at the rate of 80% immediately after the training.
